There is a peace lilly at my work, I was wondering how I would go about taking a peice for myself, or if such a thing was a good idea. As far as I know it's never bloomed and has been here for about 6 years, so I want take a peice home to see if I can get it to bloom. There's 5 in the one pot, can I just take one out? I don't want to kill the rest of the plant.

you have to take the whole thing out of the pot, choose the plant you want to sepparate and first kind of dig into the soil to figure out where that plant ends and the others begin, and just feel around until you have a good idea where the two rootballs separate, then take a knife or some scisors and hack the roots that are woven into the other plan'ts roots away. that's it. they're pretty hardy.
