I 'rescued' a fiddle leaf fig from the office, and while he is looking much happier now, he is growing so slow...is this normal for them, or does he need more light?

Ficus lyrata tends to be a slow grower and grows in spurts. It will grow more rapidly in direct sun, but don't make any dramatic changes in the light.

Be patient and satisfied that you have successfully turned it around!
