Hi I am a new member I have a friend who has had a bird of paradise plant grown from seed she has had it 8 or 9 years and it has never flowered anyone tell me why...Thanks

They like to be pot-bound for blooming.also lots of bright light.I have one grown from seed,but is not as old as yours mines about 4 yrs.I grow in ground but dig for my brief winter and grow on porch protected.
Twell me more about her growing conditions.

fertilizers
lighting
does hse have it outdoors durring the year

thanks it is in a pot inside it does not get planted outside it has got new leaves it looks healthy just not flowered maybe next year
