I am having trouble with my Aloe plant. I've had it for 5 years and it is just kind of melting at the bottom neer the soil.(it is indoors) How do I root an aloe vera? or can I? Thanks a Bunch

welcome to the form, I'd say too much water causeing soggy roots. Let it dry out then try and root it. Usually they are pretty easy to root. Might try re potting and seprating for more air flow

Hi CFL, Am I allowed to write that I love frogs too? Although I'm a big meanie and have pet frogs in an aquarium, but I love them all. Anyway, I agree that it sounds like you might be overwatering. In any case, here is a link that might help. Good luck with your plant!

Try searching the list archives. I know a while ago I got some detailed advice on how to save my aloe vera and it worked.
