[shocked]

I have seen my jade problem all over the net, but no one ever diagnoses it- The lower leaves of my Jade ocassionally turn yellow, shrivel up, and get a silvery film on them.

I thought that I was underwatering because my Jade gets a lot of direct sun, but that is not the problem. With shriveled leaves, I can't be overwatering. This is a very specific problem- can anyone diagnose these unusal symptoms?

Hi ABB,

The shriveling of the lower leaves could be a normal loss of older leaves or it could be causedby improper watering, a change in light, or a root/soil related problem.

If you could e-mail a photo of the plant to me at wcreed@HorticulturalHelp.com, I can give a better diagnosis. Also letme know if the light has changed in the past year; when you last repotted; how often you water; if your water is on the hard side; and how often you fertilize.
