Is there any use for peroxide in plants?

The theory is that the extra oxygen in hydrogen peroxide is beneficial to the plants. In fact, it is far better to have a porous potting mix that contains lots of tiny air pockets to hold the oxygen that the roots need. If the soil is porous, the extra oxygen is unnecesary.
