Being fall can anyone tell me how to cut back
my hibiscis? I understand next years growth
is new growth. Does that mean I cut the branches right back to the main stem, or just above the main stem.
thanks for any help given

I just left mine last year and this year when new growth came up then I trimmed out the old. Winter will take care of alot of it for you. Some of the old just broke off in the winter by it's self. (mother nature tirms it herself) and I help a little to make it look better in the spring.

I try to take one day at a time -- but sometimes several days attack me at once.

Thanks Susydaze;
Do you get really cold winters? We do, so I guess I will cut back some and give some ground
protection. Other than that,you have put my mind to ease on it's surviving the winter. Thanks again.

Oh WOW...we just mow our down (to the ground) every year! That was what "somebody" told me to do...so I just believed them.....but they come back every year...so I guess it is okay? [dunno]
