I have been told that B.C. R.C.Cs are acidic, and while most fir trees would like it some plants don't. I have planted Mums, Asters, Yarrow, Hibiscis, Holly Hocks, Parsley, Italian Oregono, Sage, Lavender, Lemon Mint, Phlox, Icicle Pansies, and others that I do not know the name of at the moment. Does anyone out there know if these plants are acidic loving plants? IN LOVE AND LIGHT

hello! good choice on the B.C. cedar chips... mainly because i am a true british columbian patriot! heheh..
i am not sure about the soil preference for all of those plants..but i know that phlox like acidic soil. the herbs might be touchy..as may the annuals. hmm..but i am wondering just how acidic that mulch really is. i wouldnt think it to be too harsh..and you could probably be pretty safe for the most part. for the tender annuals and vegetable and herbs i woulndt recommend it though.
good luck!
