I have been told that B.C. R.C.Cs are acidic,
and while most fir trees would like it some plants don't. I have planted Mums, Asters,
Yarrow, Hibiscis, Holly Hocks, Parsley, Italian
Oregono, Sage, Lavender, Lemon Mint, Phlox, Icicle Pansies, and others that I do not know the
name of at the moment.
Does anyone out there know if these plants are
acidic loving plants?

hello! good choice on the B.C. cedar chips...
mainly because i am a true british columbian patriot! heheh..

i am not sure about the soil preference for all of those plants..but i know that phlox like acidic soil. the herbs might be touchy..as may the annuals. hmm..but i am wondering just how acidic that mulch really is. i wouldnt think it to be too harsh..and you could probably be pretty safe for the most part. for the tender annuals and vegetable and herbs i woulndt recommend it though.
