Author Garden: Wandering Jew....toxicity Monica Gardener Member # 1878 posted                       I have a wandering jew plant and I was wondering if anyone knows if this plant is toxic??? I have a friend who was told by an alternative medicine practitioner that she could loose a significant amount of weight by eating two leaves of the plant daily. She's been doing it and to her surprise and mine, she really has lot weight. I'd like to try it, but I'm wondering if what she's doing is really safe???? Thanks much!! The only thing I found is that wandering jew may cause skin irritation. Here is a website about poisonous plants, its not listed. I didn't find it on any other site either. You're I searched high and low trying to find more information and wasn't able to. It's a beautiful plant to look at but now I know to STEER CLEAR of this stuff!
