I found this wonderful vine called Mandevilla. It has great flowers and looks so pretty. I wanted to plant it outside on my lattice but the guy at the "nursery" said it will die if the tempeture goes below 35 f. I live in Northeastern Oklahoma and want to know if I plant it , will it really die or will it come back in the spring?

The nursery guy is right...they are not hardy. I grow mine in a large pot so I can cut it back and bring in indoors each winter. It will do dormant and loose it's leaves....water sparingly (about once a month) and set it back out next spring when all danger of frost has passed.

yep its not good for you up there you can bring indoors and grow sometimes if getting good light will bloom a lil indoors or can put in greenhouse. They can take a frost but nofreezes and not cold temps for long.I cut mine back leave in ground, mulch& cover but am a coastal SE TX 8b.
You can root cuttings and have more plants. There is a white one that is a lil more hardy& Paul James has shown it.He said it will survive Tulsa winter.I don't remember where he had it.maybe Weezie knows she watchs show too.He is a nutcase though.
