None of my camellia plants seem to be doing particularly well. They're shriveling up, and leaves are turning brown. I just fertilized them 2 weeks ago, and that hasn't helped one bit. What should I do?

I need a lil more info..... how long they been there? how about their lighting? how about waterings? do you by chance know which kind you have or what time they bloom& color. I'd ask if have had wet weather,,,but are CA so know that is a big NO from ya. look tree over for any cuts or scars. japicona are prone to root rotand would get leaves yellowing to browning to falling...bill could answer more on that probably only way I'd know to check that would be to dig some and see if root hairs are brown...they would not be takeing up any water.its a fungas sometimes found in the soil and CAUSES root rot or sometimes the soil needs areated to help with drainage. I have the sasanqua and blooms in winter& its leaves are used in teas...green tea& is the type camillia LESS resistant to disease.
