Two questions:

1) My rosemary bush turned brown after several weeks of rain without the ground having time to dry out. Should I cut it back or just leave as is?

2) I've tried to grow lantana bushes from clippings (soaking in water, soaking in dilluter root stimulator, and planting directly into the ground) without any luck. Anyone know a good way to do this?

I got a lantana cutting to root by using rooting hormone and sticking it in the ground right next to the foundation on the north side of my house where the sun won't dry it out.

Too much water without adequate drainage can spell certain death for rosemary, so cutting it back may not help but it probably won't hurt either. Don't cut more than 12" or into old wood. As for the lantana, try cuttings in pots first, then transfer them to the ground once they've established a good root system.
