I received a bird of paradise in May from a good friend as a departing gift from my job. It had two small leaves when I got it, and i placed it in the most sunny place I could find and ignored it. In this area - lowcountry south carolina - it's very humid and hot in the summer, and we had a good deal of rain this year. The plant thrived and had about ten leaves on it and I though it was doing well. This winter when it got colder than 50 degrees at night, I brought the plant indoors and placed it near a window that gets morning sunlight. The leaves started turning brown and appeared "burned". I thought I had not watered it enough, so I gave it about a watering pot full of water each week.
Today I checked the plant and found all the green foliage was dead. Will the plant re sprout, or is this plant DOA? Help Plants: 4 | From: Beaufort, SC | Registered: Jan 2004
