Help!
I am a very new gardener with multiple questions but will start with this. Please be patient if I don't spell the names of the plants correctly.
I have a beagoniavile, several dwarf citrus trees, and an ornamental purple cabbage. Something is cutting pieces off on the leaves but I can't see any bugs or larvae anywhere(not that I would really know what to look for!). Oddly enough, they leave my Bearss lime tree alone along with my calla lilies and spanish lavender alone. What is it and how do I get rid of it?

[wayey] hi jenh [wayey] welcome to the garden helper. i am not sure any of us are particular about the spelling, although if you are correct, sometimes that helps, but, this question is in the wrong spot, so i am going to move it to the plants and flowers section so that the right folks can see it and answer you! enjoy your time here.

Welcome! [wayey]

Maybe a description of the damage done, and when it is done would help some? [dunno]

jenh,
Are they like round circle's..
off the sides of the leaf.???

Or the leaf completely cut off..

If it's just circle's or half circle's..

Sounds like cutter bees,?????
Very harmless....
They need it for something, can't remember what,
but other than making the plant look funny...
[dunno] I'm not sure what to tell you about getting rid of them, I'm partial to bees with the pollenating aspect!!!

I hope this helps.......
Other gardeners may be along with other options...

Welcome to the Garden Helper's Forum,
I hope you'll take a few minutes and go through the site, and enjoy all the new sections, recipes, crafts, hobbies, games, banter hall for chatting...
There's alot of good reading that Bill's got here, and it'll keep you reading for awhile...

And we don't care you might not spell some things wrong, we are very fluent in reading wrong spelled words!!! We can't spell either!
