I have also bought a few tree peonies, and I am wondering, should they be planted in clumps, or should they be spread out?

Hi Connie,
You will need to space your plants at least 4' apart. Take a look here for some useful info.

When weeding, the best way to make sure you are removing a weed and not a valuable plant is to pull on it. If it comes out of the ground easily, it is a valuable plant.
