some do seed but would depen what one& I don't know.

I plant my stems that I cut off to use.I let them callouse over 1st.

I had one give me a baby this year.I dig mine for winter. We don't get cold much or very long in Z 8B.but i like my aloes& just re park them outdoors in ground in spring
When I dug them up from outdoors to pots for kitchen.I also took 3 divisions.i shook all the dirt off back in hole and looked roots over and took a few outer stems that had a speck of roots growing from them and potted them up...plus had 2 babies...worried about the one..my puppy took off with it and had to look for it...it didn't have roots when found it but it seems to have made it.

I burn my hands on oven racks all the time...my problem is I pause and look for a damaged leaf to use to smear aloe on so my good leafs look good..LMAO

This has some history on the plant

http://www.suite101.com/article.cfm/herb_gardening/11786
this tells some growing stuff about the plant& does mention stem propagtion

Did you know Rabbits won't eat ALOE [tongue] .they hate the taste.can smear the gel 18 inches up tems of plants they chew on and will stay off(or block with tin....like my cardinal vine)
