Hello Everyone! [wayey]

Does anyone have a real great aphid killer? [Mad]
I'm hoping to get a few Daddy Long Legs into my garden soon but meanwhile if anyone has any ideas on how to slow down the breeding process, that be great!!! [thumb]
I have tried Lady Bugs, Lace Wings, and Soapy Water but nothing, really nothing works!
These are the aphids from Hell!!!
I think if I looked under a magnifying glass I'd see them sporting war gear! [grin]

TIA!

Drew,
A sure way to really get rid of aphids off
plants is to keep a healthy plant!!!!!!!!!

When a plant is sick, it emmits a "signal"
for the lack of a better word....
And that is sent out and attracks' the bugs.

So, you should try to really meet the plants requirements...

Can I ask what plant the aphid's are on????

I'll give you an example of something I have...
I have a miniature cherry tree, every year it got aphid's, this year it hasn't *knock on wood*
but it's been unusually wet and a little cooler than normal, and the tree must be very happy, cause there isn't a aphid in sight *knocking on wood again!* So, I can only think that it's because the water requirements were met this year and I wasn't giving it nearly as much water as it needed!

I also believe that if a plant is growing faster than it should *due to high nitrogen applications* that also may send out signals as well. *the aphid's usually are on the new green growth area*

Let us know what plants you're aphids' are on.

Weezie

Hello Weezie! [wayey]

Thank you for the info!
I actually realized everything you
just described earlier this week.
The aphids are primarily on my Henbane plants.
With a few appearing on one of my Datura plants.
But it's actually clearing up since I've been
watering more often and cooling them off with
a mist of water during the hotter hours. [flower]
I did not realize this plant required so much
water, I was being careful not to over water it.
It's been pretty warm in my area, I think the
sun and heat was drawing most of the aphids.

Hopefully I have it under control! [thumb]

Thanks Again, Drew [kitty]
