Member # 1672 posted                       When I went outside this morning as my daughter was leaving for school, I found 4 of these webs in one garden area. Two were over plants, and two were over rocks lining the path in the garden. Member # 654 posted                       Plants n' pots I am having the similar thing here in Calif. That is the plant where that BIG HUGE spider came out of before. On my cactus succulent cluster there are about 5 of those webs with holes leading deep between the leaves. Member # 1672 posted                       Interesting, catlover... I did notice one large hole in 3 out of the 4 webs. The webs seem to have disappeared when the sun temporarily came out this morning, Of course we had torrential rain AGAIN this afternoon, so it would have wiped them out anyway. I'll have to see if the webs return tomorrow morning. I get really creeped out with large spiders, and am afraid of their bites. When I lived in Reno, a friend of a friend had been bitten by a brown recluse spider on the leg and was having to go through skin grafts because the skin was completely eaten away down to the bone! Member # 772 posted                       Lynne, I have no idea of the name of the spider, but we have those here, I have never had a problem with them. Same thing here as well, when the dew is on them, they are very easily seen, but as the sun dries them up, they disappear. The big hole in the web that looks like a tunnel is their "living area". They catch alot of flies or bugs in the webs. And have never noticed them to hurt the plants, but if it's something that needs to be done, I'm sure a gentle swiping away will clear the web... Member # 654 posted                       Weezie...I have gone out day after day and removed the messed up their webs and it still comes back the next night! I have gone out many a night with the ol flashlight but NOTHING!!! Maybe I need to keep it up for a month.
