I need to move some daffodil bulbs. Live in NC on the coast and they have all bloomed. When can I dig the bulbs and store for next winter's planting? Or should I just move the whole clump now with a root ball of soil? Any thoughts?

[wayey] hi obxer [wayey] welcome to the garden helper. i have done it both ways, digging the root ball up or waiting for the foliage to die back. each has it's advatanges. just don't cut off the foliage until it does die back either way. good luck!
