These roots that protrude from the ground are awkward - although they have 'character' in a sense, I have to be careful I don't stumble on them.

I transplanted some wild clover from the grass on one of the islands and popped it in around the stump.

I soaked it well, then raked my leaves over it - anything to fool those squirrels who investigate everything.
