Chrissy, you mentioned planting some cattails in your pond and that reminded me. I saw some dwarf cattails in a catalog and was thinking of buying some. I don't have a pond, but was thinking of putting them in a wet area next to a small stream running across my property. I was wondering though, if cattails are invasive, as my neighbor has a pond just downstream from me and I wouldn't want to cause any hard feelings. Anybody know?

Yep, invasive as all get out. I keep mine in planters & then I bury the planters as bog plants around my pond & just before they get all fuzzy & start blowing seeds around I chop off their heads & keep the seed for the next planting season. You might try that:)
