I planted some liatris last spring and it now appears that the corms are at the surface. I don't recall seeing these when I planted them intially. They are in a clump of 4 - 6. It also appears that there are some new sprouts coming off these corms. Do they need to be burried, divided and burried, or just left alone?

Liatris corms tend to move upwards and often show through the soil. I usually put a little more soil over them just for protection. There is no need to divide your liatris unless you want more plants. They look best in large clumps.

Hi!

I've been re-doing my beds and re-planting my liatris. They have done well for ten years without much fuss. Mine are sprouted now, too. I'd be careful not to crush the sprouts if you add more topsoil to them. They are wonderful flowers!
