Help. I have just moved into an office with no windows. That is my nightmare!!! Are there any plants who will live and do well in only artificial light? I surely hope so, or I'll go crazy in a boring office with no windows.

HowD! Welcome to my corner of the gardening community Plants that don't require sunlight! M'kay, Peace Lilies, and Rubber Trees will do pretty good in ambient light only. Another good plant is a pothos. I donno of any good flowering plants that could be good without sunlight *thinks* African Violets just need to have a light shined directly on them for about 12-18 hours a day.
hmmmmmmmmm That's all i can think of right now. Hopefully i helped ^.^

Chinese evergreens, ZZ plants, pothos would do well.

my office has a few corn plants and dracaneas that are doing awsome under the fluorescent lighting (sadly, better than my one's at home) i hear fluorescent lighting is a pretty good simulation of natural sunlight. u could also consider buying a small grow light for your office. now, does anyone know if halogen lights will simulate natural sunlight, or just harm a plant?
