Well...my yukka appears to have taken a turn for the worst. All of a sudden the trunk of the plant has begun to shrival, the leaves are droopy and turning yellow and needs support standing upright. I've got a feeling it might be the soil she's in but am baffled really.
Please, if anyone can advise me on what I can do and the right care for a yukka I would really appreciate it. Thanks.

Rowena,
If the main trunk has started to shrivel, that is a serious problem. That means that it has gone a very long time without getting water up to the leaves.
The cause could be either because you have not watered in several weeks or because the roots have rotted and are no longer able to absorb water. It is probably the latter, in which case it is probably terminal. If it is the former, then give the soil a good soak and hope for the best.

Thanks a lot for the explanation on what's wrong with her. Do you know at all why she suddenly turned? Would it be due to something I have done with regards to watering/feeding the plant that explains why this has occurred...I don't want to kill another plant!!! All I can tell is that the trunk started to grow incredible fast and when I water/feed her the colour of the leaves tends to become greener but not for long.

Root rot happens slowly and there are no obvious symptoms early on. If a plant needs 8 or 10 days to dry out properly and you have it on a 7 day watering schedule, then the roots will gradually rot as they don't get a chance to dry out properly. It is only many months later, after the roots are no longer functioning, that the plant begins to show obvious signs of root rot.
