I recently bought a plant that was labelled Bridal Veil. Does anyone have any info on this plant?

"Bridal wreath" could refer to either Bridal wreath (Stephanotis floribunda) or to Tahitian bridal veil (Gibasis geniculata). These are very different plants with different requirements.

Do a Google image search for each of these if you are unsure which you have. Once you have an ID and you if you want care help, let me know.

Connie,

Tahitian bridal veil (Gibasis geniculata) needs a very sunny indoor window - south or west facing is best. Keep it evenly moist - it is not very tolerant of getting dried out, even occasionally. Water it thoroughly as soon as the top half-inch of soil feels dry to the touch.

Keep it potbound to promote flowers. This is a plant that should not be repotted.

This is a good plant to fertilize as long as it is in good light, is using quite a bit of water, hasn't had new soil recently, and is healthy.

Regular pruning is absolutely essential if you want your plant to maintain its shape. Resist the temptation to let it grow ever-larger because the stems will grow longer and stringier, not fuller. Whenever you get a few very long strands, cut them back to within 2 to 3 inches above the soil line. Failure to prune regularly will eventually result in lots of long stems with most of the growth at the ends.

Mites love this plant, so you must be vigilant. Mites are easier to treat when you catch them very early. Avoid hot dry air as much as possible. Humidifiers and pebble trays will help in the winter. And don't ever let the roots dry out.
