Author Garden: Mandevilla Scarlet Red Chae Garden Helper Member # 2218 posted                       Hi, I was just given a Mandevilla Scarlet Red plant and was wondering if anyone else has one has any care tips. I have never seen or heard of them before. I have it indoors as it is too cold up here to have anything outdoors right now. Member # 2222 posted                       I bought a mandevilla last summer and planted it next to one of the posts of my front porch. (full sun) It got frozen to the ground in October or November, but I dug it up and pruned it back to the ground and took it inside for the winter. (by a south window) It soon began growing again. After awhile, it really started to vine, so I made a teepee out of 3 bamboo stakes for it to twine around.
