I was bothered by mole crickets.(They ARE ugly)What I did was use some Dawn detergent mixed in a bucket of water, About 1/2 cup Dawn to a couple of gallons of water. Mix it so you get suds. If you look around your yard, you should see mounds of dirt, just like moles make, only smaller. Pour some of the mix on the mound. If you are lucky, they will come up and die. I have tried other detergents, but Dawn seems to work the best. I was only bothered by them in early summer, so they may not be the same Mole crickets that I had, but it might be worth a shot.

Mole crickets have a large head and front legs like shovels.
You can also drench the soil in the affected area wth beneficial nematodes if an insecticide that contains diazinon which is formulated for soil use is ineffective.
