Even though it's freezing rain out side, I still have a few..................... I think I posted some on, let's see, I think it was Alan, that asked, brain drain!!! alankhart's questions/Blooming now And Bill and I were telling a member about what is good for fall color Hiedi's Questions There's alot that can take some cold and frosts. And where you have them also is a factor, close to a house, or under a tree, helps protect them a bit too!!! And different zones too, I'm due for a FREEZE tonight, so I won't have too much for too long now!!! Weezie

Let's see her...... daiseys, zinnias, dahlias, morning glories, butterfly bushes , cannas, sedum, some kinda purple spike thingy, hyacin(sp?) vines, bachelor buttons, some red flower thing ( I think it's russian sage( not really sure) roses, My poor plants don't know what time it is I guess! I've still got monkshood, sweet peas, carnations, phlox, catmint, licorice, monkeypods, pansies, lamium and goosnecks hanging in there. If it were me, I wish winter would never come!!!

Among other things, I have a Rhodie that thinks it is time to bloom... right next to the house on the north side. By the water faucet. Otherwise... Tomatoes, RHP, Zinnias, Ice plant, Red Apple, Peppers, a lot more, but all close to the house or on the deck (covered)so they missed the couple days of frost we had a while back.

All you people in the cold. Jeepers. In the south everything is STILL blooming and now my mums and camelias that bloom in the fall and winter are blooming too. We are in need of rain, believe it or not after all the rain we had this summer.

I'll bet you red-flowering plant is a Pineapple Sage! Mine is right on the verge of blooming. Go pinch the leaves and see if they smell like pineapple. My neighbor has a big, beautiful one in full bloom now and it's a knockout!
I was admiring our tree hydrangea this morning. Of corse, it bloomed in the summer, but now the white flowers have turned mauve and the leaves have turned yellow and it's quite a stunning color combination. Anyone else have these?
Camelias are no problem here. They are pretty much pest free, have survived through our years of drought and buckets of rain we had this past summer. I have three shrubs, different colors. You just have to rake up the ones that fall off so you don't get a fungus.

ROS,,still going but winding down,still a few magnolias going if look up in the top of tree,my 4 pm mass is still blooming& smelling like heaven,cannas got a few blooms left,mums,wandering jew.burgmansia,crown of thorns,angelwing begonia,bougainvillia,black eyes susan vine,morning glorys,alamo vine,cardnial vine,golden rod mexican marigold,peas,spider lilys,water lily white,but is only blooming in morning then its bloom sinks,some pink thing,some red flowered thing,pink hibiscus,red hibiscus,spiderwart in the shade.wisteria has a sopt of bloom or 2,salvia,gerber dasiy,but they bloom yr round for me,impatients,zinnia,moonflower vine,nasturium,babies breathe,basil,catmint,other mint,claduims(but fadeing)a small type aster,potato vine,cosmos
but got a southern garden.....so being I am still sleeping with windows open& fans going.you all hudle under covers^turn thermastat on.i toss covers on floor and just want sheet

and my camilia is not blooming yet(though forgot to mention my confederate rose is) it is covered in buds already and just a few weeks ago pulled pine straw off to compost haven& re applied cow manure& fertilizer& re pine strawed it.it looks alot healthier since keeping base of it cleaned up now& adding cow manure makes it sure happy.mines mostly shaded and in protected spot towered by my magnolia tree who looks better also with same program...keep clean rake& cow manure& plenty of watering....soot& scale are now gone. so where ya at that ya got blooms?I'm south TX
