Hi,
I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions about treating Pear Midge?
For three years now I have hand removed the fruitlets that contain the grubs, removed them from the ground and tried various 'sprays', after petal drop, all to no avail. Help.
Regards,
Lee

Hi Weezie,
Brilliant, thanks. I'll try the suggestions
on the web site. Might end up with some pears!
Good successful gardening wishes to you.

Lee,
Glad to be of some help!!!

Are you in time for the buds opening??
Hope so! It's always nice to pick a fresh fruit from your own backyard.........
I used to live in the country and would eat my way through the woods. Raspberries, blackberries, elderberries, thimbleberries, apples, plums, pears, Oh my gosh my mouth is watering just remembering.
So glad to help.....
Weezie
P.S. Where the heck is Scunthorpe?

Hi Weezie,
I'm too late for this year as here we are well into the past 'Lilac blossom' stage. Just into Rose bud time. I'm across 'the pond' to you, half way up the map of England. Heavy in industry, with the flat open country side. Very green at the moment as the rainfall has been heavy. Soil in the garden is on the heavy clay type (always handy in throwing the odd 'pot' or two).
Nice to hear from you.
Best Wishes,
Lee
