I've just completed my landscaping on a one acre property this year. You would think that I would be happy, not. The areas that I started three years ago are just so boring to me now. If I tear everything up again DH is going to freak. Maybe it's because the neighbors copy alot of it on their lawns, I know we all get our ideas from somewhere but not from your next door neighbor. I mean we all make mistakes we learn from ( I'm still plucking Bishops weed from my front rock garden, I just had the pretty little plant with the variegated leaves), and the blue spruce planted 5 ft from my septic tank [Frown] that got dug up in a hurry. Tell me that this is just the gardening blues because winter is coming, before I'm ready to rent a bulldozer.

Tamara,
I know exactly what your talking about!!! I'm even worse because I not only go through this with my garden, but with decorting my house as well!!! I get the house all finished and then decide to change it all. It's making my husband crazy!!!
Do you think your desire to change things has to do with experience? Maybe because you've been gardening for awhile now you're anxious to try new things. It's quite a compliment to you that your neighbors are coping your ideas!!!

I am constantly changing stuff in my yard too, and usually driving my hubby crazy. I just like to experiment with the colors and textures. And sometimes you make a little mistake (i.e. million bellls should not be planted in the ground, just a hanging basket) and you end up cleaning it up forever. I do the same thing in the house too. But he's just as bad as me inside, we'll paint the living room and in a week he's ready for a change. [Big Grin]

My husband won't allow me to paint. He knows that it will just stress me out [shocked] and has me hire it done. Really if you have everything ready for them it isn't too expensive. I work 50 hours per week, spend another 5 driving to and from and then with my farm chores, cooking and cleaning---there is absolutely no time lift for painting and what not. Anther thing that my husband won't allow me to do is to do any assembly of any kind. I am not mecanichally inclined and I have an extreme lack patience. It is not a good thing! [Embarrassed]

I'm not painting anymore, or at least not for now. When "we" decided to paint the master bedroom he wanted it to be red. So we picked out the color and I painted two walls before he decided it was too dark. [tongue] Me, being the good paitent wife, let him pick out another red. I then primed the walls and painted again. This time I almost finished before he decided this one wasn't "red" enough. [Mad] So I told him he's no longer allowed to pick colors and I'll take care of it. Its now a lovely shade of straw. [grin] Needless to say I am taking a break from painting for a while. I still want to paint my bathroom, upstairs hallway, and guest room, but someone thinks the colors in the living room need to change before then. [Roll Eyes]

Oh gardengal, you just reminded me of the time my husband and I decided to paint our kitchen. We went through about 4 different colors before I decided red would be nice(by this time it was about 2:00 in the morning and I wasn't thinking clearly!!!) I got about half way through before my husband came in and yelled "oh my gosh that's awful...it looks like I killed you and threw the blood all over the walls!!! Needless to say our kitchen is now yellow!!!
