I need suggestions for plants that will make a good hedge row in an area without shade. I know what I don't want (holly, anything in the pine/cedar family), but don't know what I do want. The max natural hight for the plant should be about 4 feet. Any ideas/clues??

Check into japanese yews. They are pretty and I have seen them in a hedge and they looked very nice.
