please advise me what to do; I am rather new to gardening. Yesterday I noticed that moles had uprooted a few of my favorite plants. I am mostly concerned with my "joe pye weed", I only had one of these and I really liked it...plus it cost me about $10 and I hate losing money. It took up a ton of space, gave me privacy from neighbors, stayed pink all summer. Anyway, I live in Minnesota. So I am sure it's poor roots are frozen solid. And yes, the roots are completely exposed. It is laying there in a pile of dirt as if it's waiting to be planted. Is there a way to save it? Thanks, Ronda

If the roots have been frozen (and I am sure they have) there is no way of saving your plant. Too bad it wasn't noticed when then ground was not frozen or the roots could have been put back in. What a shame to loose such a beautiful plant.

I had a problem with moles in my yard due to japanese beetle grubs and june bug grubs.The grubs were killing my grass. I killed the grubs using an insecticide. Hopefully, that will be the end of the moles too... Bob
