Well Nikkal, I told you I would let you know what happened with the hairy growth on the Pink Splash after I cut it back. It has grown into a forest! It's like a fuzzy wonderland now and it's spreading to the leaves, but what the heck, these things are cheap anyway. So I'll let it go and who knows? Maybe I'll be able to market fuzzy forests and make a million!! . Of course if anyone knows what it is and how to KILL it I would gladly remain poor. Oh and by the way, I put the plant under a little dome after I cut it and it started bluming like crazy! ( but I guess the hair liked it too ) Anywho have a good one, look forward to hearing from you, Wally

Wally,
Sounds likle mealybug or soil mold. If it started on the plant tissue, then it is mealybug. If it started on the soil, then it is mold. Mealybug has a cottonlike texture. Soil mold is more thread-like.
Let me know which you think it is, so I can tell you how to treat it. If you are unsure, send a photo to me at wcreed@HorticulturalHelp.com.
