I have a Donkey Tail (Burro's Tail).

Have been doing some research but am totally confused whether it is a sedum burrito [dunno] or sedum morganianum [dunno] .

Can someone tell me the difference between the two so I can properly identify my donkey tail.

Thanx in advance

If you go to

http://www.desert-tropicals.com/Plants/Crassulaceae/Sedum.html

You will find closeup photos of both types of Sedums (as well as many others).

Both have the same care requirements.

Thanx Will [thumb]

It is a S. morganianum. The leaflets are 1 inch and from the picture that looks about the size.

That's a cool looking plant, I might have to find one of those.

Is it a tree, with that hanging down, or a plant and those grow up and over like a spider, or is it more like a shrub? I would love to know what kind of plant it is to see if it would fit my house, looks like it might be a little to frost tender for outside.

It is a succulent that I would grow from something that is at least 4-5 ft. from the ground. The strands reach about 4 ft. It needs to be in a place where animals/humans won't bump it because the leaflets drop off very easily. I have seen them in pots as well as hanging baskets. The basket can get really heavy so make sure it is attached well. It is a pretty slow grower but well worth it. Only repot when absolutely necessary because you will lose leaflets but they do start really easy. If "I" can grow the thing anybody can.
