Bare with me. I'm new at this as far as being able to put the pictures online. Hopefully it works but does anyone know what type of plant this is?

That is a corn plant or Dracaena fragrans.

Thanks. I thought it might be a dracaena. I have a much smaller one that it looks similar too. My aunt moved and left it for me in 2 pieces. She claims she doesn't know what happened to it. It was just broken in 2 one day and she didn't know what it was. She also claims that she took the broken part and just put it in dirt and that it never rooted but it's doing much better now that I have it. Thanks.
