My indoor plant looks very healthy but the growth continues to fall of daily. What are some reasons for this? Plants: 7 | From: Sylvania, Ohio | Registered: May 2003

What you need to do is think back to what you may have done to it for the last month or so (or however long it might have been )since this leaf drop has been going on. Then try to rectify what you did. maybe try transplanting the plant to a new cactus mix and give put it in a sunny place water it and then let it dry out. You wont be able to save the lost leaves, but you can try to save the stem and roots. good luck!!! Plants: 27 | From: Massachusetts | Registered: May 2003

With your comments, I have a feeling it may not be getting enough direct sunlight. Thanks for the tip. Plants: 7 | From: Sylvania, Ohio | Registered: May 2003

Yes, the more light the better. It is also important to allow the top quarter of the rootball to dry out in between waterings.
If you repotted recently, that is probably contributing to its woes. Jades rarely need repotting and should never be repotted when ailing.
