I don't think I am spelling the name of this plant correctly, so I am not finding much information about it. I have one, which is doing well in bright light but no direct sunlight. I am presently moving some of my plants out to a south facing very sunny balcony, and was wondering if my sheffelera could go out there too. ????
Thank you.

Schefflera is the correct spelling. It does very well in bright indirect light. Do NOT move it outside into the direct sunlight because the leaves will burn up. In fact very few plants can move from our relatively dim interiors to direct sunlight outside. Every spring I see plants that are moved outside and a few weeks later they look terrible.
