Are you familiar with tree roses? I just killed 2 of mine by trimming it back to far. I live in SW Virginia so I bring mine in the house for the winter. They did fine last year in the house and even bloomed out. I went wild with the trimming this year and killed it. I have noticed that some sites say you can bring them in for the winter and put them in the garage or bury them. I don't like the burying idea. I tried putting mine in the basement and when I checked it a few weeks later it was getting black so I brought it in the house and it did fine, till I killed it. I don't see how a tree rose lives in the dark garage or basement with no water for the winter, but all the info I have says that is what you do.

Hi Ann,
Sorry to disappoint, but I have never heard of a "tree rose." I only work with plants that do well indoors and roses are not among them.
