Im trying to save a friends Jade plant . Its big and old (6" around base) She repotted it and it started to get jade rot . I cut the water supply like i read and now i hear they like to be root bound ...is this true?Matbe it should not have been repotted.

Jade plants do like to be potbound. In fact, most plants do. I suggest that you undo the repotting and put your jade back into its original pot. That will help keep the roots from rotting. Provide lots of direct sunlight, as well.
