Angel trumpets are Nightshade family members, from either the "Datura" or "Brugmansia" genus. All are heat lovers and germinate best in warm, well drained soil (75º or better) in complete darkness. Most species in the Datura genus will germinate in 10-15 days. Brugmansia can take a month or more. Except for being vulnerable to spider mites, they make good, albeit big (and poisonous) houseplants. Horizon Herbs has several varieties.
