I just moved into my new house this winter. In early spring two patches of irises came up. I only got three flowers from the one grouping and none on the other. I know very little about gardening but I need to find out why there were so few blooms but lots of plants.

Really, in order for u to know what's going on with your irises you need to know something about them. Here's an article that will explain what the needs of the iris are.

Chances are, the specimens in your garden have been neglected and not cared for, but they could be suffering from disease, insect damage, or maybe they just need more room!
I hope this information is of some help.
Good luck with your new home and garden!
