This is the best time of year to root rhodo's, just bend a branch down to the ground and pin it down with a rock or carpet pin... throw some dirt on it and it'll root. Also can break it at a node just bit (or really a clean knife and make a cut half way to 3/4 of the way through. Keep it attached to the mamma plant and root tone it and do the same with the rock and dirt or leaf mould. Also in a book I just go called Garden Tools by Lee Valley on page three (3) there is the same concept but you do it right on the tree. (not pinned down to the ground) It's very reasonable and when I get my mother's day gift certificate from there that's the first thing on my list to get!!!!
