I live in Northwest Washington and really want to have spring blooming bulbs in my yard. Is it too late for this for this spring? I know very little about gardening, we have had a few frosts, but no snow or hard freezes. Should I buy plants that are already started and plant them in the yard? Can I go ahead and plant bulbs? Please help

Spring bulbs need about 10 to 12 weeks of cold in order to bloom, so they probably wouldn't bloom if you planted them now. You can buy potted bulbs, but if they are already coming up they would most likely suffer cold damage if you planted them now. You might want to wait until early spring and see if you can find some potted and ready to bloom that you can then plant outside. They will be more expensive as opposed to buying bulbs in bulk. Hope this helps!
