I live on a corner lot and when the builders decided to go with natural drainage we got screwed! So I was wondering if anyone knows what I should do I put down grass seed which came in very nicely in some areas however I have a mud puddle extending from my back yard under the fence through my flower bed an on into a lowered surface of my lawnit is a dip about 2ftx2ft and is about 6in deep....if any one can offer me so advice I would love to hear any suggestions you have...this is my first home and @ 22years old I don't have much experience
Thanx,
Krystin, Hemet, CA.

Hi Krystin
Welcome to the forum! I haven't been here too long, but I found out right away that this is a very friendly, very helpful group!

About your drainage problem...the first thing I would do is check with your city/county/municipality. If the drainage was put in according to code, there should be no flooding on anyone's property! You may find that the builders, or even the city are responsible for fixing your property so it will drain correctly.
Even if for some reason you have to correct this yourself, you'd want to check with the city/county engineer to make sure you follow all regulations. (ie, you cannot "build up" your property to prevent flooding if it will cause water to drain onto your neighbor's property and cause drainage problems for them.) Hope this helps, keep us updated!
