I am new to the forum but am desperately seeking advice for my plant. I have a beautiful jade plant that I propogated. It is actually several plants in one fairly sized pot. 8" terra cotta. I put is outside on my patio for the summer and it was growing like crazy, the leaves were very large and plump and the color was great. I also have two other pots with jade propagations which were growing very very well and gettly larger and more beautiful by the day. Suddenly a couple of weeks ago, I noticed that the edges of theleaves were turning brown and curling. I thought I had not given them enough water so I began watering them a little every couple of days. Not too much though. But it is getting worse and all the leave are falling off. The color has also changed from a beautiful green leaf to a yellowish color. what has happened to my beautiful jade and what can I do to fix this. I do not want to lose my plants. Thanks for any help.

The leaves with the edges turning brown and curling then yellowing are a sign, of a couple of things. 1. Over watering simply cut back on the watering. Jades can dry out between waterings. 2. Plant is root bound Replant into a larger pot 3. Root Rot cut way back on watering (it is almost impossible to save a Jade with root rot. You may want to incorporate some bone meal into the soil, before you water again. To help growth of roots. It may help. 4. Over Fertilization Leach out the soil by slowly running water thru it for a couple of hours.

It is not clear from your message whether your jade is still outside or if you moved it inside. If it is still outside and the weather is very cold where you are, then cold damage may be the problem.
If you moved your jades inside, then they are probably reacting to to the change in light. In addition, they are not using nearly as much water inside, so unless you adjusted your watering schedule accordingly, then there is a good chance that your jades are overwatered and the roots may be rotting.
Your jades should be inside on your sunniest windowsill. Allow the soil to dry out almost completely before watering thoroughly. Frequent additions of small quantities of water is not a good idea.
Until your jades have fully recovered, do not even consider fertilizing or repotting. Both will merely aggravate the problem.
