I have a wisteria that is approximately 4 years old. It has never bloomed. Can someone help.

Believe it or not, wisteria if grown from seed, can take up to 15 years before they bloom. If you have a plant that was started by cuttings it will usually take about 5 to 7 years before they start to flower. You may want to try giving it some fert next season. Wait until it begins to show signs of growth then give it a good shot of 20-20-20. This will help promote top growth and flowering,( if it is ready) Have patients as wisterias are well worth the wait!

I purchased a wisteria in Fla. about four years ago, brought it back to Ohio, and this year is the first year it has taken off and bloomed repeatedly. I've found that if you prune away most of the new growth as it comes on, it will bloom again and again. I have had four bloomings this year.
