I have an old pickle jar that I fill up with water and then add 12 tea bags and a handful of peppermint leaves. Set it out in the sun until I remember to bring it in-usually a couple of hours. Plants: 190 | From: southern maryland | Registered: Feb 2004

My mom has a one gallon jar that she put 4 family sized tea bags in and leaves it out pretty much all day. To tell you the truth, I can't tell the difference when it's made by putting 2 family sized tea bags in a 12 cup coffemaker and pours it over ice which melts/dilutes it to right mixture (and take about 5 minutes). I always thought the key to it tasting right was to start with good water. If i use tap water it turns out cloudy-tastes funky, filtered water (brita) seems to make the difference.
