Ok, Weezie can't have all the fun here! I like getting simple (and a few not so simple) ethnic recipes. What is your favorite? My easiest is is a Filipino dish called Adobo.
  • 4-5 pieces of chicken or other meat
    1 medium onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced or pressed
    8-10 whole peppercorns
    3/4 c. soy sauce
    3/4 c. vinegar
    2 bay leaves
    water
place meat in pot with all the ingredients. add water to cover and simer on med until meat is tender. serve over steamed rice!

That sounds yummy!!!! [thumb]

I'll have to get some English recipes off of my mother to post on here.....One thing we all have at christmas is mincemeat pies....small individual pies made in muffin pans filled with the mincemeat.....there is actually no meat in it....lol It is raisins and things like that....they are the first thing we all eat during christmas season and she makes dozens of them but we are all constantly eating them......easy to make....and you buy the mincemeat in a jar......I'll ask her tom. for the correct recipe.....I'll see if she has any other english recipes also.... [wayey]

cool! I'd like that, and I am sure some others will too! I'll post a German recipe here later (again, an easy one!)
