Author Garden: potato kugel plants 'n pots Garden Pro! Member # 1672 posted                       Diane and I were discussing this the other night in the CH, and Merme had also expressed interest in the recipe, so here it is. It's really easy, and a great side dish! Potato Kugel 6 medium potatoes (2 1/2 lbs.) 1 1/2 tsp. salt 2 eggs 1/4 cup matzoh meal 1/4 tsp. pepper (though my mom adds just a bit more) 1 large onion Grate potatoes and onion - using a hand grater or food processor. Add the remaining ingredients and mix well. Pour into greased 1 1/2 qt. baking dish to bake at 375* for 1 hour or until crisp. Serves 6-8. It's very easy and tastes great! Now that we've been discussing it, I'll be getting more potatoes next trip to the store so we can have some here! Member # 1672 posted                       Merme - the matzoh meal used to be sold in boxes, now it is sold in round, tall, cardboard cans - the first time I was looking for it a few years ago and couldn't find it, I didn't realize that all the companies had changed the packaging!!!
