The eagle pix was taken while he was at the zoo in Seattle... I found "George" laying injured in a field and got to hold him for a couple hours while we waited for the bird rescuers to come, and take him to the birdie hospital. He passed away later from a viral infection, but I'll never forget how it felt to hold such a magnificent creature!

Merlin was the first of eight peacocks I've had over the years. The neighbor had him arrested for grass seed theft. After he served his (court ordered) one year sentence I promised him I would never lock him up again (he was VERY unhappy). He was last seen walking down the center line of Ben Howard Road, about 3 miles from home.......... I don't have any peafowl anymore.

Oh....I just love Peacocks....they are so beautiful......I have to tell you this....when I lived in England the park near my nanas house had a little petting zoo type thing....they had lots of peacocks, well my dad never lets me forget that I was quite the peacock caller back in my day....I'd imitate their sound pretty good from what I'm told and have them following me all around.....lol The last time I went to england I went in search of the little zoo and they'd gotten rid of it....I was so sad....
